The King City City Council on June 2 unanimously approved a total budget for the 2010-2011 fiscal year of $2,675,495.
The general fund budget of $1,661,652 includes the following appropriations: $21,335 for the City Council; $530,228 for city administration; $728,469 for police services and $381,620 for general services.
Other appropriations are: General fund transfer - $160,293; street fund - $556,750; park system development charges - $86,800; transportation improvement fund - $196,000; and 9-1-1 fund - $14,000.
The 2020-11 budget is slightly smaller than last year's, which was $2,740,368.
At the same meeting, the council voted to award a contract to KF Jacobson & Co. Inc, which was the lowest responsible bidder for the phase III King City cul-de-sac resurfacing project. The company submitted a bid of $135,756.
William Evonuk, a civil engineer associate with Murray, Smith & Associates Inc. Engineers/Planners, wrote City King City Manager Dave Wells that his company had estimated a cost of $185,000 for the project and recommended that the contract be awarded to KF Jacobson.
Four other bids ranged from $139,630 to $167,372.
